Becca Campbell Smith is an advertising designer with a passion for Illustration. After graduating from BYU's advertising program in 2014, she began her career working for Disney's Yellow Shoes Creative Group in Los Angeles. While her husband finished school, she worked as a designer at R&R Partners Ad Agency in SLC and started her own business, The Story Smith Shop. She is now living in Rhode Island, working as an art director at Cake Mix Studios in Hasbro Toys, while illustrating on the side. She hopes to keep learning more in illustration and continue creating fun and uplifting work.
Her skills include digital design, illustration, hand lettering and graphic arts. Her favorite part of advertising is telling stories and bringing them to life in a beautiful way. While she is fairly new to the professional world, she has already proven herself a force to be reckoned with, winning national advertising awards in school, a gold Addy, as well as a "Yellow Shoe" the highest creative award at Disney's Yellow Shoes.
"I am the Story Smith. Just as a blacksmith welds iron, and a sword smith forges swords, I create and tell stories.
As a self proclaimed lover of fascinating things, I've spent my life as a seeker of them. Whether it be photography, design, music, or people,
I enjoy bringing out the best in something. So Adventures ahoy! Lets get exploring, because a new story is always awaiting. "
